89.99 on Amazon right now, 35.99 as a first time customer on Gruv. Great deal, especially with little ones who want to watch these over and over during the Christmas season.

Having bought these specials multiple times over the years, this is about the most complete, "final" time you'll need to pick them up.

They did sucker me into picking up the DVD set a couple years ago, only to issue it the next year on Blu-ray.

Tempting just because this holiday season it seemed impossible to find them being pieced out across the countless streaming platforms

I would've been all over this a few years ago, but younger generations want nothing to do with discs, so if you're trying to buy media for multiple generations to watch you're better off with digital copies. Also there have been great digital deals recently.

Don't own digital. You can at least create a homer server/digital library of your own. Then your family will always have it and you can still pass it down. (Imagine future lawyers during a reading of a will passing along gramps' decades old family digital Blu-ray collection. )

The "not owning" argument is dull and moot. When people refuse to watch discs then owning it is less useful than "revokable licensing" it.
For the amount of times people point out that you don't actually own it, you would think that major services are yanking purchases daily. Those days are mostly long gone. And no, I don't count redbox as a major service. Anyone who purchased from them was stupid. With Amazon and vudu you basically own what you buy. Pretty much the only stuff that gets yanked is stuff that was licensed back in the teens or earlier. Since then the licensing agreements have gotten a lot more complex and favor the consumer.
About 0.03% of my purchases have been yanked, and Amazon even refunded me for that individual ova/episode that was pulled. I would argue that people who buy physical discs experience a much higher failure rate (scratched disc, disc rot, general failure) plus the amount of discs that get lost/stolen/borrowed and forgotten.
With digital I don't have to worry about any of that, it takes up no space, the service keeps track of which episode I'm on, and is cheaper.

PS. You're talking to someone who has *thousands* of movies and TV shows on bluray.

So buy a BD drive for your computer and rip these. Host a plex server. Boom, digital copies for the whole family to enjoy.

I was for buying this deal until I also seen it was in a dying format. Digital is the best option for any consumer. No internet? Download your copy from anywhere without signal loss. BTW also had these classics in every format until Blu-ray came along with digital streaming. One suggestion-its a biggie!
Also use an email service you will have permanent access to. Using a work, school, group (more) account isn't a good idea. You may lose your personal access to them upon leaving employment, association, etc. I know.

Took so long to get their email, and then confirm and wait for a 2nd email, now it says "Out of Stock"...
The code was simply "SIGNUP20", nothing special. 😢
