This Anker one in the post is a GaN Charger too. That is how and why it is small.
15% 1-star reviews, with many of them mentioning that this device failed after only a few months of use.

Many reviews mention that it cannot consistently output 100W
$30 for a 100W brick is a pretty good price. Extra nice how small this one is

The product states it is for MacBook but since it's USB-C, would it work for any typical (non mac) laptop or phone with proper cable?

one of the reviews with pictures displaying the output show it only does 57.9w.

it's basically a 60w charger being sold as a 100w.

then there are other reviews stating it gets really hot compared to using regular brick charger for their laptops.

Still waiting for a top of the line Anker everything charger that is 100W+, has 2-3 usb-c ports, and no antiquated usb-a.

i'd spend an extra $10 for Gan (Gallium Nitride), delivering same power at lower heat. example:

it's not a good comparison though. If what OP posted does provide 100w, it does it for 1 port. The ones with multi-port does not provide 100w to a single port, but divided. port-1 65w, port-2 35w, etc...

I had this charger for my Zephyrus G14 (2024) and M3 Macbook Air and it got ridiculously hot. While I do like Anker and have more faith in their products than others, the heat concerned me. I instead got their new 140W charger with the built-in display. It's more expensive at $80 at launch (discount should be back soon) so it's difficult to compare, but the new charger manages heat much better and tells you when it's cooling/charging at a lower wattage after an extended period. Better peace of mind, not to mention I can always see the charging speeds now, without the dedicated cables with the display built-in.

For reference, the other charger ($90): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0DFCH3C4W/

1st one does the full 100w to a single port

This one also does 100w to a single port. $30 multi port

Reviews look iffy on this anker charger also.

On that note, my anker dashcam still going strong from 2018 lol..

Yes, go read about power delivery which is the basis of USBC power, everything else on top of that is whatever other standards
