Great monitor. All the negative comments are from gamers. Do you game? It's 60hz, which is too slow for great gaming. Do you not game? Then it's the best monitor out there for the money. Just beautiful looking. I have two.
60hz... Once you go 120-144hz It's like everything is in slow motion once you go back to 60hz.
The problem is 4k high refresh is still stupid expensive, most monitors running $800+.
There's a new segment of ~$400 4k high refresh now, which is exciting, but there are only a handful and as far as I know none are very good. It's a good sign though. Hopefully that segment gets popular and someone makes a good one.
Regular 4k getting cheap like this also makes me more hopeful.

Yeah no doubt that Monitors are getting cheaper for 4k. This Samsung monitor would pair well as a second monitor for media consumption while your main monitor can be a 1440p 144hz display for gaming etc.

27 inches is too small for 4K. WQHD seems to be a more optimal resolution for a 27" monitor. I think this monitor is a better deal with a higher refresh rate and comparable price: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C4Z8RFY9

Can you scale the image in Windows with 4k? Wouldn't this still be shaper than WQHD without the negatives of small text?
I'm debating between getting this or the $100 27" QHD KTC brand monitor.

The difference in sharpness between WQHD and 4K will be barely noticeable on a 27-inch monitor at normal viewing distances. 4K is just not worth it on a 27 inch monitor.
"Even without this additional data rate, however, it still supports a wide range of resolutions and refresh rates, including 4K at 60Hz with 10-bit color, or 1080p at over 200Hz."
