Not a DJ mixer. Doesn't even have a cross fader.

It only has RCA outs, but that's not really a problem.

Pyle makes fine amps and impressive cheap speakers. But do yourself a favor and avoid Pyle or any off brand for a mixer. I bought a more expensive Pyle in a pinch when my Peavy was acting up, and there was terrible noise and other QC issues. A mixer is pretty critical. It's like skimping on the motherboard in your PC.

If you don't need a lot of inputs mixed, grab a Mackie Mix5 and you'll never need to replace it. I actually have had good success with an Alto Professional mixer. Yamaha is my favorite but $160 for an MG06 (has XLR outs) is a far cry from $40.

Their low profile earset microphones are amazing especially for the price.

Rotary mixer, you can mix house music sets and whatnot just fine on this thing (though it wouldn't be my choice)

Their cheap PA speakers sound impressive for the price. I have real world experience with them, do you?

I was wondering people actually using it before talking craps.

This is my cheap mobile set up for fun karaoke parties and I can take them anywhere with me to my friend houses: this mixer + the wireless microphones (link below $60) + single powered speaker of your choice. I then use my phone connect to mixer via bluetooth for songs over youtube.

At home, I use Yamaha MU10XU mixer.

Only having RCA outs IS a problem if you need to interface with a sound system or studio monitors that require balanced audio.

On short runs, sub 20', unbalanced won't cause issues with interference and ground noise. They carry less voltage than XLR but generally speaking, and especially for something this entry-level, no one is going to need XLR nor notice a difference. Surely no one is mastering anything using a cheap 4-input mixer like this. Only "sound system" I can see this being used for is at home karaoke. I would hope anyone doing paying gigs would pony up the cash for a better mixer.
