Free shipping seems to be no longer available in my area, yet there's 4 in stock at my closest store. This might be a YMMV deal, not sure. Hope this deal helps someone.

The 199$ deal 8 amp battery + charger get a free tool gets you those.

Just fyi this saw is heavy it feels like my corded porter cable. It's a true corded replacement
and feels like it. if you're busting down ply or just doing some 2x4s the 6 1/2 will be way more convenient.

lowes site is always on crack. I got the 2 8 amp battery bogo + miter shipped free but then any other item was 79 or pickup from store. I don't know who thinks anyone will pay 79 shipping for these type things i can just get em off amazon. i think alot depends on local stock and this saw was pretty much sucked dry everywhere from the 2 battery bogo deal.

I'm actually quite glad that all these great Bosch deals aren't in stock near me. I didn't want to be tempted by another tool brand and battery system, and really love the plug in Bosch power tools that I do have.

I have an adapter to convert Bosch batteries on Makita tools as I use both. You can find adapters to convert just about any brand from one to another.

it has an opening on the left so you can see the blade . It's a left vs right side winder debate...

i picked one up will see. My old school porter cable spits hella into my face, but i can see the cut. Even with the dust port redirector it's always shooting at me. My cordless right side got flooded but i didn't like the sight line and the motor would always bump my square (wasn't use to it). But i like my material dropping on the right and i preferred that with the right side. Not to mention blade further from my hand. This saw solves both of those with the opening and the motor doesn't interfere with the left side if you'll notice it's tight to the the saw. there's a good youtube video review on this that mentions that.

I don't have the one on sale here, but the GCN model is well worth it if you can find it refurbed or otherwise on sale, and are planning on getting a track saw anyway. It's a beast of a saw for an otherwise regular drive cordless circular saw, works fantastic on compatible track (makita/festool compatible track), and maybe isn't a "perfect" track saw (since it's not as sealed around the blade as a pure track saw) but is also capable of a full 2 1/2 inch depth cut and can use regular 7 1/4 circular saw blades. I haven't needed to mess with the speed, but it's nice to know the option is there? 0 regrets with the one I got as a refurb, even with having to buy track separately (I went with Powertec), but I already have other Bosch cordless and batteries. Works noticeably better than my old Wen corded track saw (which had metric sized blades and a short cut depth ugh).

If the CN shares the same motor and drive system, it's certainly a nice saw and a solid deal at 99, but for anyone thinking of getting it who doesn't already have a track system, I'd consider finding the GCN on refurb/sale (or ideally both), and then adding track.
