Also, the poster is newish so might not know this, but "$ off" or "% off" posts aren't done here because they're not useful. It doesn't mean anything, and those offers are often deceptive.

At least one of the prices should be in the title and in the post. So it may be how the post was done, and the fact that it wasted a lot of peoples time, as much as this specific deal

I used deluxe with a home based business and also buying & selling stock.
TT Deluxe may tell you while entering info you should upgrade to Premier. Just ignore and proceed with Deluxe

This Costco offer for TurboTax Deluxe + State at $45 ($56-$11) is essentially the same as the Amazon offer in the link from last year but includes a $10 TurboTax credit (e.g. to e-file state taxes) instead of a $10 gift card.

How much you want to bet that Amazon posts its sale the day Costco's offer goes live.

Soooooo, for those of us trade that sounds like a manual nightmare. The difference between Deluxe & Premier is well worth the $$ to have all info auto-populate.
Deluxe imports from your brokerage the same way premier does. If you're using a service that doesn't import, your 1099-B already has it listed in aggregate and you don't have to list every individual trade because the IRS gets a copy of the same 1099-B with all the details.

Glad I'm in the right place, as I'm someone who trades. At most, it's 6-7'ish manual numbers as they are the aggregate amounts (I would argue my nightmare is itemization). Is that worth the additional $$? To me...not so much. But to each their own...caveat emptor even.

I switched to freetaxusa.com last year when I missed the sales, and found it to be 1:1 to TurboTax on entry, but BETTER BY FAR for service. I didn't even pay for premium service but got a same day response from a local tax professional who guided me through some complicated questions that I never got sufficient help from TurboTax on.

Some mostly free options to try first..The free services may charge for state filing. Worthwhile to check them out if they meet your needs over Turbo Tax Deluxe for $35. IRS Direct File https://www.irs.gov/filing/irs-di...e-for-free Limited to 25 States https://www.freetaxusa.com/ Fed is free most states are $15 to e-file, cant import 1099-B formshttps://irs.treasury.gov/freetaxprep/https://myfreetaxes.com/https://cash.app/taxes and review - https://smartasset.com/taxes/cred...w.olt.com/ Fed is free most states are $10 to e--file
exactly thanks for pointing it out. I buy TT or H&R to import my 1099 (Charles Schwab)… probably mainly for this feature alone.
Unless the free tax apps offer this import feature and does it well, for now,
I cannot use https://www.freetaxusa.com/ which does not import 1099-B forms

I don't see any gift card offer when I check Amazon. Where do you see $10?
I think the pulled it. I checked my order, which included the $10gc, but now that product page says nothing about $10gc.
