I hope this is helpful for others to be well informed.
After activated, the 60-day unlock countdown begins and it should unlock automatically after 60 days pass. After the first month you do not have to pay for 2nd month if you do not want to keep their service. It will still unlock after 60 days.

Also, the deal is if you make 12 payments...meaning you're stuck with them a year.
Doesn't say anything about 30 days free.
Seems like a good deal for the phone. $50 a month for service is steep so I would not stay on Total

I also chatted with the Rep and she says it requires the $65/month (5G+ Unlimited plan) and does not included the 30 days free service.
