A Visible # works fine for porting in. $5 for that after using a referral code found easily on Reddit. Google Reddit Visible referral.

I hope this is helpful for others to be well informed.

After activated, the 60-day unlock countdown begins and it should unlock automatically after 60 days pass. After the first month you do not have to pay for 2nd month if you do not want to keep their service. It will still unlock after 60 days.

They will never unlock if never activated. As has been brought up in this thread already. Acrtivate and let the first month expire, wait until day 60 and it will unlock after that automatically. No need to pay for the additional month. BUT you must activate it to start the 60 day timer for unlocking. You also need to do this before the first month is over after they ship or that first month prepaid service clock will expire also. You've already paid for it so do it right away.
I activated them - I'm just too old to remember if I actually opened the box, put the sim in and turned them on. I only put them on the FB marketplace after I confirmed they were unlocked. I can't see my listing anymore, but I kept the message with the buyer and the title says "NIB". The buyer never contacted me again. So I assume all was good.
Edit: I'm pretty sure I didn't open the box and only activated them online.
Here's the linkto the previous iPhone 11 deal. If you search the thread with keywords "box open" or "box sealed", you'll see I wasn't the only to who kept the phone sealed. But there's no guarantee Total hasn't changed their practice.

Has anyone successfully ordered a phone today? I added a phone and a plan to my cart and proceeded to checkout. After selecting PayPal and clicking continue, an error window pops up that I need to call them because they can't process my transaction. I wonder if my account is restricted because I bought the Moto Edge 2024 that also needed ID verification back in October/November.

Their stupid website is broken at least since Monday. Customer care is absolutely clueless. I wonder how this company is even in business!

I doubt there will be a SIM card tray
It's a budget model for the whole world. You'll be more surprised if there isn't a sim tray... The look at the latest leaks.

This is apple. They haven't made a phone for the USA market with a SIM card for years. No chance

there will be a global version with a SIM card tray for sure but not here

Thank you. Is your phone from the ST deal already unlocked or will unlock? I used my main number when I placed the order, has the phone been linked to the number? Can I use another number to activate the phone? Some people mentioned that it is risky to port out before it is unlocked.
Yes mine unlocked. you have to do a factory reset for it to re-check the activation server on the 60th day if you have any issues activating a new sim. It works every time.

i bought 2, ported the number out 2 days before the service ended, it unlocked on the 59th day. The second was unusual, the service kept working after the 30 days was up, after 2 weeks of it still working, I ported that number also, it ported fine, the phone date for unlock is the 24th, I have no doubt it will unlock. In other threads, some people were able to activate it by selecting get a new number, you could try that first. If that doesn't work, use it for a couple weeks, text 611 to get the unlock date, the port out if you're comfortable doing so. It seems counter intuitive to me that the phone unlocks after 60 days without service, but wouldn't if you port out. What's the difference?

plan A: why not get a 15 days trail phone number from Visible (no cost) then port that number to Total Wireless so no risk on your real number.
plan B: use a referral to join Visible for $5 then port that number to then port that number to Total Wireless so no risk on your real number.
would that work?
You can't port a trial. Or trail.

Correct. This is why you should not use your main number to port into TW, unless you want to pay for the 2nd month Your port out timing needs to be good and autopay disabled. Then make sure you port out before they let the number go.

Instead, get a disposable number to start with.
Well, I ported out both numbers on the IP 13 deal, one is unlocked, the other will be on the 24th.
