After activated, the 60-day unlock countdown begins and it should unlock automatically after 60 days pass. After the first month you do not have to pay for 2nd month if you do not want to keep their service. It will still unlock after 60 days.

Kind of regretting starting on this journey with Total Wireless.
I don't know why they do that in TW. What's the point in creating a label if there is no phone to ship?

Thanks! Does anyone know if I have to insert the SIM in the new (locked) phone to initiate the unlock date to be assigned or can I just use another phone to activate the line? I'd prefer not to use / activate the new phone until after it has been fully unlocked.
