These are good IMO. I cook 1 pound of hamburg, add a can of blended stewed tomatoes, a can of Bush's "Chili Beans, Kidney beans in chili sauce" & this chili magic chili starter. Let it simmer for a few minutes and you've got a quick chili. It's good for 4 servings @ 385 calories, 35g protein with lots of fiber & potassium. Quick meal solo or add grilled cheese. I use leftovers for chili dogs.

Classic Homestyle is labelled as Mild. Campfire Style, labelled Medium, is available for the same price if you prefer a bit more heat in your chilli. Sadly the hot edition, Hearty Heat, made with Louisiana Hot Sauce is about $35 for a 12 pack.

It nice this recipe doesn't have a ridiculous amount of sugar. The baked beans recipe has an insane amount of added sugar.

The old packaging showed what's inside the can – just beans.

The new packaging shows a complete chili – with meat.

I only had a 15% coupon. But $9.60 is still better than $11.40

1010mg of sodium, vegetarian friendly. I prefer Amy's but it's $35 for a 12 pack. I don't think it will get any better than this price.

Amazon has gotten notorious for selling close dated items on food items when it's a good deal. It's gotten so bad I wish they would publish the expiration dates on listings based on your zip code so they can coordinate to the distribution near you it's coming from
