Hell yes...been waiting for this. I actually ordered one from Walt's a few weeks ago, right after Christmas. They were the only retailer that still had it on sale. I bought the last one they had in stock and it turned out to be "damaged" so they canceled my order (and then the price went right back up lol).

Also, if you apply for the BB credit card, new members get 15% in rewards. At least that's what I saw during checkout. YMMV.

I also opted for their $59.99 haul away service and free install. Some backstory, I had a 98" R754 that got damaged during a move so there's been a 150lb hunk of metal and glass sitting in my living room. This kills two birds with one stone.

How is this tv really? Home theater I am debating getting a 98" tv vs a 110 screen and projector. Figure the tv has to be better quality than higher end projector and screen. Most are advising no. Thoughts? Besides the compromise in the viewing area

I have the exact same decision to make this year… currently have a BenQ HT3550 and 112" screen. Projector now has two stuck pixels, so either $400 repair or scrap altogether and go to a nice 98" tv like this one. Size difference will definitely be noticeable at first but if picture quality is much better it could be worth it?

100% better than most projectors out there unless you were going bigger like 150" or something. now I dont know if this tv is $1000 better than the qm7 which was 2k shipped and installed from bestbuy.

Just went from 125" projector to hisense 100u8k. Noticeable in size at first, but picture quality is absolutely better and worth it and you get used to size pretty quickly.

I went from 120" UST to hisense 100 U8K, picture quality is big difference. I put tv little closer to make size adjustment.

On the projector vs TV comparison:

I've been using projectors as a big TV screen in 3 different homes since 2016 and tried ALR and UST screens. Once I switched to a 98" TV, it was night and day. Many will point to a projector's "filmic look" and it definitely has a different look and smoothness to it. Is it better? IMO, no, not even close. Only reason to go projector at this point is if you're seeking a 120" or larger screen.

I think what many take for granted is the emotional effect you get from a projector. You don't feel you are watching TV; in a dark room that projected image can feel like a true theater especially with surround sound and potent subs.

I have a new 100" Hisense in the living room and a small HT with a 120" screen and a mid range 4k pixel shift projector. I'll watch a movie on the projector every time!

I hope someone can chime in on this!!! I keep posting these in search of that answer lol. I now have the TCL QM8 from Amazon on the wall but it's going back as it got banged up and has a couple spots. BB just delivered the Hisense but I'm afraid to switch to it as I haven't found it anywhere in any size--I missed when the other size K's were current and on display. Even the U8N on display here is at floor in a middle cube and impossible to get angles and a real feel.
And now I bought this, with that

In a normal situation I would crack the Hisense open and be the guinea pig, but it's more complicated this time

Can only keep one, so hoping to come to final answer
