One quart is the right size, or a nice size anyway, for one can of soup with room to stir, or onions or tomato sauce, or fruit.

The next size up is frequently 2.5 quarts which is often *way* larger than is needed, so a 1 quart saucepan is definitely a convenient size pot to have on hand.

If someone doesn't have a microwave which heats soup up in a bowl so easily?
Heating soup in a microwave is fine for sure.

I personally find that doing it in a pot produces a more even results, but I also personally rarely eat a can of soup without throwing more vegetables/beans/whatever into it as well, so I find myself using a pot more often.

Also, using a 1 quart pot for that rather than a larger one means you're not wasting a bunch of heat (and time) heating a bunch of extra metal.

I have this. I prefer it to cook multiple soups/canned foods and it is much better for a quick Ramen.

One thing that happened to mine is I have a discoloration in one of the parts of one side of the pot which I believe was from heating.

I have other sixes of this pot and like them with this being the only one with discoloration.

Perfect for boiling a few eggs, and even better the lid is metal so no annoying hard water spots on the glass.

Seems like several complaints of pitting after not too long on other sites. I'm wondering if the newer versions of this pot are inferior. I'm in the market for a 1qt pot though...
