This thing is a million times better than those usb thumb drives or microsd cards.
They are actually also very small and easy to carry around, I have a few of them and love them.
I've pretty much abandoned all my usb sticks, no matter how high end they are, they cannot even touch the perormance and reliability of a real ssd like this one.

I ordered the X9 Pro and while it's physically smaller than the Samsung T7, I think I prefer the full metal body of the Samsung, it just feels better built. And the pricing and performance are similar between the two. Also the Samsung includes a USBA and USBC cable, whereas this only includes an even shorter USBC.

I didn't know anyone tried to compare a thumb drive or SD card to an SSD. That's like comparing my Camry to a 911 and saying "the Camry cannot touch the performance of a real sports car."

No PS5 needs an NVME gen 4 SSD with heatsink installed internally and Xbox only works with proprietary SSD card that you insert into the Xbox.

This would work to store games and move to internal which is much faster than re-downloading them. You can play older non series Xbox games from this, not sure about PS, but for new games can only store.
true, but you can install and run ps4 games.
at launch time this was almost every game so made the external route much more cost effective.

i think its still worth while to have one of these on a ps5 for those older titles n free up the nvmes for ps5 games

The V6 Camry had over 300 horsepower before it got canceled
Mustang GTD has 815 horsepower. Porsche 992 GT3RS has 518. And is a blazing 8 seconds faster around Nordschleife.

Horse power is only a part of the story.

What's the different with the "Mac" model? Would that means if using the regular pro version won't work in Mac?

in theory any ssd is "high endurance" vs a thumb drive.

I just purchased 4TB X10 Pro for $10 more, i.e. $220 after price match with Best Buy over the chat. Took about 15 mins
Good tip... I did the same since I didn't want to drive the 45 minutes to the local Microcenter when BB is like 10 minutes away.

Better to spend $10 more and get 4 TB X10 Pro. I got it in $220 from BB after price match request with Microcenter.
how do you go about the price-match, if you don't mind me asking? tia

You ask for an agent in the live chat and tell them you want a price match. Give them the link to the 4TB one at BB and the link for the 4TB at Microcenter and let them do their thing. They of course will try to sell you some other stuff, like a warranty, and some sort of BB membership. Turn those down and they will email or text you an invoice to pay the discounted (price match) price + tax. You pay the invoice and then go pick up the drive at the local BB or have it shipped.

You open a customer service chat and ask the agent to price match with Microcenter. They will ask you to send website URL and figure out if it's exactly same product. If so, most likely it will be approved. In this case the difference was $20, so I think the agent had no problem approving the price match. Once done, they will send you an invoice for adjusted amount at your BB account email address. You click the invoice email and complete the payment to get order confirmation. Hope that helps.
