Previous Slick Deal at $1699: https://slickdeals.net/f/18015054-sony-bravia-8-65-class-oled-4k-hdr-google-tv-2024-k-65xr80-1699?peid=6469508a-7006-4930-96e3-fa54af93775c

Note that Sony is expected to reveal new TV models in about 2 months, so it's likely these may drop further but this is now only $100 more than the 2023 model.

Amazon does not currently appear to have an official authorized seller for this one although this seems change pretty frequently.

Best Buy and Costco both offer free in home unboxing.

Costco members get 2 years access to Sony's movie platform and 15 movie credits.

It does have a cut down CPU compared to previous models and higher models."According to reviews, the Sony Bravia 8 TV has fewer picture adjustment settings compared to higher-end Bravia models, particularly lacking deeper options for color management and white balance adjustments, with some users noting a missing 20-point white balance control which is usually available on more advanced TVs; this means users have less granular control over fine-tuning the image quality on the Bravia 8 compared to its premium counterparts."

S90D is much brighter, C4 is slightly better as well

Yes for people that like to change settings on their TV. I bought this TV for Christmas and out of the box the picture is stunning, especially with dolby vision content that I honestly don't feel the need to change too much on the settings. This TV replaced a sony A90j that now went to a bedroom, the A90J is a wonderful set as well

Very. In a blind test you would have a hard time telling which is which unless you are intentionally looking for flaws.
