65" NEW is $1499.99 not $2299.99.
These Best Buy offers are very much ymmv. Most aren't available in my area, but this one is not only available, but priced even better than what you're seeing. In North Jersey, it's $925 for excellent, $871 for good and $825 for fair. Since I bought the Samsung S85, and can't return it now, I'm going to pass on it. But if I was still in the market, I would consider this deal.
In numbers, the C4 is better but in person the Sony seems crispier image.

Ooo thanks OP. So for fair condition, how bad is the tv? Lol. Fair condition sounds a bit worrisome for me.

Fair is probably a display model.

How are these compared to LG C4 or G4?

The LG C4 is better.

"The Sony BRAVIA 8 OLED and the LG C4 OLED are very similar TVs, but the LG is better overall. The LG gets brighter in HDR, so highlights pop out more in HDR content. The LG also has better SDR pre-calibration accuracy and PQ EOTF tracking, so it's more accurate in both SDR and HDR. Finally, the LG supports up to 4k @ 144Hz, whereas the Sony only supports up to 4k @ 120Hz, so it's a bit better for PC gamers with high-end graphics cards."

Who expects to see the C4 or even the G4 this low even as open box? The odds seem unlikely. Everyone knows those are the gold standard to compare against. So they will command higher prices even in clearance.

I have a 65 OLED LG and a 77 OLED Sony. I regret not getting another LG. Android TV on the Sony is slow and buggy. I haven't had any issues with web os

The software can be solved with an aftermarket dongle, but I'm concerned with the picture quality between the two?

No it cannot. I'm not talking about the built in apps. I use an apple TV. The TV runs android TV for more than just apps. It sucks, it's slow, going through any menu is a chore. There are delays just changing the volume and then it will jump a bunch really fast. They all do it. I've gone to best buy and the Sony TVs do it there as well, so it's not just a my TV thing.
