Are these shoes to play tennis in? Or are they for casual wearing, just being called tennis shoes?

Learnt this like a year ago, but apparently some people call regular sneakers, tennis shoes for some reason.

People used to play tennis with this "style" of shoes. You can still play if you're old school smoke and drink between sets.
tldr.
No, they are not tennis shoes

Final sale is too risky to bite on. IME Cole Haan sizing and comfort has been all over the place. Some are great and others hurt to wear. Not a bad looking shoe, though. Thanks for sharing

I've bought a couple of these styles of shoes including this color way. They are nice looking shoes and get loads of compliments. They are comfy for me working in Physical Therapy. The only downside of these shoes (and Cole Haan more recently I feel like) is that they just don't hold up. You'll see the wear and tear within a couple months especially around the toe box region. It's a shame because they are nice looking shoes…

Can confirm, wide footed person here and my older Cole Haan's fit like gloves, but I haven't been able to find any recently that are as nice, even the older models aren't available in the wider sizes. Sometimes you can find them, but usually at full price (~$200). Cheaper to just get Allen Edmonds hybrid shoes on sale, or even Amberjack, which are available in wide in their popular styles now.

Have these and liked them so much that I bought another color as well. Still going strong after a couple of years, too.
FYI that this store does not have free returns AFAIK.
