My kids get one full charge to get done whatever they want to do. That's usually enough for a few rounds of Roblox games and when it's dead, it's dead until tomorrow. Works even better than screen time because they can see how much "time" they have left in the battery and can plan accordingly.

Better limit time there. My 7 yr old calls me 'bro'. Probably they chat there.

Would this be good for a 78 y/o kid that watches Judge Judy and plays solitaire all day?

No, but I support one.
I feel you. I have a 11-year-old, 5-year-old, and an 83-year-old. Guess which one gives me the most trouble?

I already have a kids Fire tablet that chugs but sucks extra because I can't use Google Family since it's not stock android (and no amount of sideloading/rooting is possible to remedy this). I was about to order this but found out Google Family won't work on Android Go either. Lame.

If you are looking for a google family tablet... any android tablet will work except Fire and the cheapest of the cheap.

The low end Mediatek Helios G series are pretty bad, I own several. For the same price Snapdragon 4 are better.

Mediatek does make very good higher end chips for $400+ device with diministy 8400, 9300, 9400.

Their low chips are pretty bad on tablets and don't age well.

The G99 chip is not too bad as a low level CPU/GPU. But anything below that, I would stay away.

E-waste. Saw the recommendation to get one of those cheap Tracfones with mediocre specs and big screens, and couldn't agree more.

It'll have five times the performance.

If Roblox is good enough on this then I'll buy it for my kids so i can get my iPad back. lol
I got my kids these for christmas just as one of them was getting into Roblox. This is absolutely not powerful enough to play Roblox smoothly. They now just use them for youtube kids and duolingo.

These tablets do make good emulation systems used with a Bluetooth controller, I have one and if you know what you are doing it can play at least up to PS1. The non-kids version of the tablet is the same price so it's actually better getting the kids version for the fact that it comes with a good case with a kickstand built in. It has a micro SD card slot you need to open with a little tool that comes with the tablet (or paperclip or safety pin) I would recommend a card because the amount of onboard storage is terrible.

So you can play Pong: The Next Level
Nice... but I don't think this tablet is strong enough.
