This seems obsolete with the new stubby out. The 2967-20 plus a 2563-20 stubby covers everything. Acme has stubby preorders for $175 which seems ok.

Edit I guess I see them for less on eBay. I already bought one so I'm trying not to pay attention to how cheap they get.

The last 3 months have been pretty slow on reselling Milwaukee batteries unless it's the new forge. You're lucky to get $1 per ah out of the 5.0. For every one buyer, have to deal with 10 ppl that message is it still available, then another 10 that says they want it and then they won't respond further.

If I can find the Ridgid 18v 1/2 impact wrench (non-brushless) kit for $99 that was posted not long ago, is that still a better deal than this long term given the warranty and battery replacement possibility? If the battery dies 5 years down the line, can at least get it replaced, since it'll likely be the first thing to fail?

Would be for simple DIY home auto maintenance (couple of times a year?). Lug nuts, brakes?, maybe suspension?

Just concerned if I get this, it's overkill and if I'm locked into the battery ecosystem, all other home tools will be much more expensive with Milwaukee down the road.

you can get bauer + battery for $100 at HF , rated 450ft-lb. even I started again, would still go with the red.
