Same here. Does Home Depot allocate stock by region? I remember online pricing was different for other people when certain deals were posted.

I've been battling this... I already have M18 so I'm going m18 route. Will be using mostly for lug nuts and suspension. Most say the stubby will cut it for that type of work. And the stubby looks super cool and is very small/light IMO. I for sure want the stubby but in my case, already having m18 batteries, the m18 makes the most sense. Also note that anyone demonstrating the stubby for tough work is likely using a m12 5.0 battery which aren't cheap unless you go a package route. Most m12 packages have 2 3.0s however. Hope this mumbo jumbo helps

They're both very good all around tools. If you already have one battery type I'd let that decide. The M12 stubby is definitely smaller and lighter and really impressive, but this M18 mid torque is still a very comfortable size and nice to use. I have both, plus the high torque and I basically never use the high torque.

I have both and use the 3/8 stubby a lot more than the mid torque. The stubby has zero issues removing lug nuts and some suspension parts. The stubby paired with a high output battery is golden.
