There is a lot of value in this deal. I switched from the M18 Super Sawzall to this M18 Fuel Hackzall about roughly 7 years ago. Any difference in power is worth the tradeoff for being able to use in a single hand. I'm a plumber that does mostly residential service work and I really find the ergonomics on this much easier to work with underneath sink cabinets and cutting through older galvanized water pipes. I just bought the bare tool around this price last month for a new employee and he really enjoys it as well. The added 5.0 battery is a great included discount.

The only issue I have had with my Hackzall I haven't fixed yet is the trigger recently had a small burr or piece start poking out. I can still use the Hackzall without issue, but it does get a little uncomfortable if I'm using it for long periods of time without a pair of gloves on. If I take it to the Milwaukee Repair Center in my city, I'm sure they could fix it but I don't want to be without it for a while though.

I don't need the battery and charger. I'm sure this gets asked all the time, but please help me remember. You can't do a hack on these unless the battery/charger is a separate line item right?

Right, it has to be separate to hack. I just returned an entire M12 Fuel kit as the oscillating tool did not work right out of the box. I was told to either do a warranty claim or return the complete 4 tool kit for a refund. They wouldn't even just give me a new oscillating tool.

I have the m12 fuel, and wish I had held out for the m18. However now that I have the m12, the upgrade doesn't feel worth it for the light demo and pruning that I use it for. The m12 works... but I'm sure the m18 would work much better.
