Fair warning -- Best Buy's refurbs are a spit shine. Sometimes you get more spit than shine.

What I'm saying, is they typically do absolutely nothing to fix, repair, or refurbish these previously used customer machines. You're not getting a "refurb" as much as you're getting a "heavily used four year old machine".

Furthermore, the new M4 base chip wildly outperforms the entire M1 lineup...and it stands fairly well even against the M2 and M3 chips. Yes, I'm comparing a laptop versus a desktop, but the value statement can't be ignored. When the M4 air comes out, it'll probably all but trounce this machine at a similar price point. And it'll be eligible for a three-year Applecare warranty...unlike this garage sale find.
