Had this saw for a while and its scary with the jerky start. I was never able to get slider to get me straight 90 cut so ended up using it as fixed saw. There is a reason these go on clearance from time to time.

I bought this around 5 years ago, it's a very basic low-quality Chinese saw on par with something like Wen or the lowest level at Harbor Freight. It's a good price for what it is, but don't expect to be impressed. The laser light lasted about 2-3 hours of use. The fence and blade angles to not stay aligned. There's no soft-start/stop. It cuts and the motor has decent power for what it is.

Dang Delta actually makes decent shizz too
Delta makes some high-quality tools, but this is Shopmaster, their low-end entry-level line.

You can very easily find better quality brands second-hand for the around same price if you're willing to do the leg work.

This was also on sale around Christmas, same price as a Metabo C10FCGS 10 inch, single bevel, non-sliding. The specs on this Delta look tempting but the reviews and feedback on the last deal made me stick with the Metabo. That one has consistent positive feedback.

I have the metabo. A good basic saw, normally $99, goes on sale for $89 often, much, much better than this delta even though the metabo is non slide
