Everyday price and good price would be $9 to $10 each.

Tear off the cardboard sides of the Elegoo spool and mount it on on Bambu spool. I sometimes need a tiny spacer to prevent pinching if there is a gap.
The Amazon listing has a product video showing how to do it.

This is the easiest solution and use it on all my Elegoo Spools. Quick print and works well https://makerworld.com/en/models/...eId-202971

how do the cardboard spools fare in a Bambu AMS? Seems like it would not unroll as smoothly and get jammed up?

Sounds like a lot of work to respool... More like a "filament kit". I'll pay a couple more bucks for filament that I don't have to print a bunch of stuff and take a lot of time to get it where I can use it.
i just print rings for companies i use with the ends of random filaments... so i almost always have some rings for Eryone, Overture, Polymaker, CCTree, Elegoo hanging on a post on my HSW. print quick, easy to slap on a new roll.

swapping rolls or especially respooling is obnoxious... i agree, if this was the only option, i just wouldn't buy the filament. have a couple of Aceaddity that are too tall for the AMS, respooled half of one and said "this is stupid... these will be externally fed rolls nod"

You guys can also just wrap the cardboard edges in electric tape and it served me well. I use the printed adapter as well, but use electric tape when I'm lazy.

...lazy? Wrapping in electric tape is so much more work than snapping on an adapter..

It's like one thing.. Lol

But I guess who knows, maybe your 3d printer is just a pain to work with, that it's hard to calibrate and actually does take too much work.

Good thing I have a Bambu.. Said no one ever since they decided to do cloud-only devices lol.

I pick up the Kingroon PETG every time it drops to the 71~73 range, which ends up being about $78~80 shipped $7.80~8.00/roll of assorted colors. The PLA stays higher for some reason, not sure why. It's normally in the $85~ range for different colors. Less if you want all single color though. I prefer 10 different color rolls over a single color though.

I use Elegoo filament almost exclusively these days, their Rapid PLA+ and Rapid PETG are great, use both in my AMS with my P1S without issues.

No one seems to be mentioning this, but I have ordered filament directly from Elegoo twice, took a while to arrive and it was poorly packaged, most of my spools (cardboard) came badly bent.

So, these days I just order from Amazon, much better packaging and handling, and if there is an issue, easy to return. And if you check frequently, there are frequent sales that make them very cost effective.

I got 3 of their pla color bundles and they've been great but I hate the clear one. If they swapped that for another black or white I'd buy the bundle quarterly.

I print a lot of stuff that get gets painted anyway but after getting my ams I do enjoy color spools.

Print out the flat adapter and it will fit, no need for the riser. This is the way.
@lovespicyfood @chobo1665
Don't bother with adapters. Tear off the sides and slap it onto a Bambu spool. Elegoo cores match up with the cores of Bambu refills. No need to worry about flimsy rings that may or may not may contact with the AMI lid. This is the way.

The colors I dislike I just use for things I don't care what they look like, like filament storage holders, poop chute, scrapper, tool handles, clips that make aligning the build plate easier etc.

Which version did you use? It sounds like it is too big with the adapter to keep the lid closed?

How do you transfer yours? I printed a hand cranking spool roller and honestly it doesn't seem like it rolls up well. Maybe I have too high expectations for the filament to roll up tightly and evenly.
You don't have to respool. Just mount the elegoo roll on a Bambu spool.
