Yes. Since it's Android. What you do is create a minor (<13 yrs old) Google account. Then add that account to your Google Family. Then login to that account when setting up this phone. From there you can manage screentime length and schedules, plus block or allow different apps. As long as you stick with Google Chrome as the only browser on the phone you can set what websites are allowed and the maturity level of search results. Some other Google apps also allow you to set maturity level allowed.

It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.

I've done the following several times without issue. Usually the chat portion is completed within 30 minutes. You won't have to do much more than provide validation that you're in possession of both phones (they'll send a text to each phone at points during the chat) and keep the conversation open (basically respond after each time they chat to you even if it's just "ok" to their "please continue to hold").

1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

Hello, I'd like to move the data, minutes, text, and remaining days FROM my line TO my line .

Activate first new phone as existing number and the minutes and data will be added to your plan and your phone number will be on the new phone. Repeat process for second phone. Then purchase new sim card and activate it with your number. It's a pain in the ass and I've seen accounts break doing this (can't login; account shows as not existing) but it's probably rare.

I know that this is a fairly low spec'd phone for Android. However, I'm thinking about using one at my desk as a media player for Spotify, SiriusXM, Apple Music, etc. and selling the other one on Craigslist, OfferUp, etc. Any flaws in my thinking?

No problem doing that. We have a half dozen unlocked & no longer activated phones from previous deals.
They are scattered around the house for (wifi) music players and Google Meet.

Accepted at Spectrum for trade in purposes. Value is 10 bucks technically but with 100 on top for some phones, worth. And if the S24 like deal comes back this year, can be very worthwhile to snag these two here
