It takes some configuring, but I've had good experiences with using Google Family to manage my kids devices.
1. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your permanent phone.
2. Activate your "donor" phone on the same account.
3. Go to the web to find the current minutes, messages, data, and days remaining on your new, donor phone.
4. Go to support.tracfone.com and scroll down to and click "Chat with Support".
5. Populate the message template below with details of your donor phone and permanent phone and share with the CSR.

I understand. The point is to use the the service to unlock the iPhone after 60 days.

I did it like 8 or 9 times I guess to get to where I am now.
