I purchased the iZeeker 2.5k dash cam off of Amazon about 4 months ago. It's really a no frills cam but has served me really well so far and the video quality is great for what I need it for. I'm not going to be able to pull license plates off of cars in the dark but all I really need is something to prove fault in case of an accident. It was only $39 at the time but it's actually $10 off atm so an even better deal. Might get another for my wife's car came with a long cable, SD card and a pry tool to hide the cables in the car seams

dashcam market seems so "sketchy" for lack of a better term.

I would like to buy one, but the number of options and 1000s of brands is intimidating.

I wish that one had an option for a rear cam. Next jump up is pretty significant. I feel like sub $120 for front rear + starvis+supercapacitor would entice me to buy.

I recommend considering this dashcam: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B083VXL...e_0_0&th=1, which allows for easy internal battery replacement. Since 2013, I've purchased at least 10 different dashcams, but I've consistently faced an issue where the date doesn't save—even with hardwiring—due to the battery losing its charge over time. Opting for a dashcam with a replaceable battery can help avoid this problem. Just my two cents!

after cheaper dashcam, I got viofo dual cam and also a venture. WiFi and app works well with viofo.

My old dash cam from 2017 were cheap and after 2 yrs don't retain date/time.

And not having WiFi connectivity via the phone was impractical. In an accident I am not going to pop the microsd card and stick that into a laptop (remember phones don't have sd card slots anymore))
