This is for existing users on flexible or unlimited plus plan. Phone comes unlocked and ready to be used with any carrier, just make sure not put the FI SIM in any other phone until the 120 day counter in FI account reaches 0.

How do I get this if I'm not a google FI user?
Previously some saw this "existing user" upfront discount offers 21 days after opening the account. In a recent thread https://slickdeals.net/f/18046998-s24-ultra-unlocked-l-google-fi-existing-customers-120-days-of-service-required-info-on-s25-ultra-preorder-599 some saw the discount 48 hours after opening but I believe they did not click on it to see if they are actually eligible. So if you are planning to get S25U you can do a gamble for $25 or so by opening an account now (use referral code for $60 credit) and see if you are able to order by the end of the preorder period. Note that even after the preorder period ends FI will still have a discount albeit $50 less o it might still end up being a good discount.

The offer link doesn't mention the plan requirement. I have simply unlimited and it's only showing $350 off each phone. Going to pass.
It says in the middle "You must remain on the Unlimited Plus or Flexible plan for the duration of the promotion." As I mentioned before, you can switch to unlimited plus, do the deal and switch back after 120 days. You might also get $750 off by switching as some has gotten here.

People are not following the advice of waiting a day before purchasing the phone. This thread is going to be busy with people complaining the promo countdown is not working for them.

Dont rush. Wait 24 hours before you purchase phone for new activations! Unless they fixed their systems. I posted earlier.

What is the countdown? The countdown is the 120 day countdown that shows how many days service you have left before you honored the commitment.

If you activate the same day and buy the phone, the system does not know you are an existing customer and wont honor promo, and chargeback

No. It decides whether you get $650 or $0. You will get charged back the $650 discount if it's only for existing customers

I'm getting the S25 256GB at $500 off with my unpaused (as of yesterday) Fi plan. I will sell the S24 Ultra 512GB from I got here last year. Ready for a normal sized phone again, even losing half the storage. I just want to play games, so at least the CPU/GPU upgrade and 12GB RAM across the board will keep me satisfied for another year.

Worst part of these Samsung phones for me are the unlock is terrible with a normal screen protector. Fingerprint hardly ever works, Face is useless, especially in the dark. Versus the Pixel 9 Pro, face unlock works usually, optical fingerprint (I think) works fast even with a generic screen protector. I will switch over to the Pixel if S25 unlocking becomes unbearable, now that they have a place to replace Secure Folder and a Desktop Mode coming soon... plus 16GB RAM (but a worse processor..)

As for the deal, this is an excellent deal at $500-$650 off a new UNLOCKED device with NO trade in. Even better for those somehow getting another $100 off. Deal is a no brainer if you're getting the phone, just 4 months of pro-rated service and you're done, but you get to use the phone while you wait. Not a good as last year, but still the best way to get the phone.

You're paying 320 to upgrade from s24u to s25u?
As I mentioned in another tread, my s24u is from Spectrum and it doesn't play well with Fi Voicemail, which was a strong reason convenient excuse to upgrade (even though I am aware that s25 is barely more superior to s24).

I did the S23U and S24U deals in the past and only kept Fi service active for the ~120 days each time. I signed up for Fi again yesterday just to see if I would get the offer and instantly got this offer so YMMV. However, even with the discount I'm kinda hesitant to get this phone given the minimal upgrades. I really dig the new rounded corners and the silver color though (I really don't like my Grey Titanium S24U's color but it was the best color imo) but I don't know if I can justify the upgrade considering I'll be paying probably ~$200 after selling my S24U. If they had the free storage upgrade it would be a no brainer.
Did you just sign up with a new number again?

I had to return the phone last year even though the promo initially applied. I was not considered an existing customer until my first bill was paid. Not worth arguing back n forth with customer service.

You get the discount up front. But they can chargeback and say you violated the terms. But in Fi Savings under billing you will have an "In Progress" tab and it will show the discount and a countdown from the 120 days. I'm pretty sure the countdown will be visible within 24 hours of activating the phone. But either way you DO NOT WANT TO USE THAT SIM IN ANY OTHER PHONE or you void the promotion. You also don't want to sell the phone for the risk that if someone else uses a Google FI sim in that phone thats not yours it voids the promotion.

I did what you did for an S22 (purchased at end of model year so right before the s23 came out) and the 120 day countdown timer never started. I had to contact chat numerous times to get it straightened out and you have to ask for your case to be escalated to a specialist team because first level chat is useless.

But maybe you will get lucky. Maybe their systems changed in the past two years but I think people may have had issues in the s24 thread but for that I activated a few days early so my s24 promo went through fine

So bottom line, monitor the Fi Savings tab when you activate the phone and make sure the 120 days is counting down correctly. If it does not start within 24-48 hours of activating , contact chat and ask to escalate to the specialist team.

The terms say they can chargeback your Google Pay account. Blocking it will cause you headaches so if countdown doesnt start you want to straighten it out

Can I pause the service after ordering and resume once s25 gets shipped out? Would this violate the terms and conditions
