S25+: 399

This is for existing users on flexible or unlimited plus plan. Phone comes unlocked and ready to be used with any carrier, just make sure not put the FI SIM in any other phone until the 120 day counter in FI account reaches 0.

How do I get this if I'm not a google FI user?
Previously some saw this "existing user" upfront discount offers 21 days after opening the account. In a recent thread https://slickdeals.net/f/18046998-s24-ultra-unlocked-l-google-fi-existing-customers-120-days-of-service-required-info-on-s25-ultra-preorder-599 some saw the discount 48 hours after opening but I believe they did not click on it to see if they are actually eligible. So if you are planning to get S25U you can do a gamble for $25 or so by opening an account now (use referral code for $60 credit) and see if you are able to order by the end of the preorder period. Note that even after the preorder period ends FI will still have a discount albeit $50 less o it might still end up being a good discount.

Question: I'm a current user of FI, using a regular sim card. If I order a S25, would there be a new sim-card in the Samsung phone? If so, I assume I activate the new phone with the new card, and the old sim-card is useless?

I ask as there was a FI sim card in the phone already when I originally signed up.
The S25 will come with a SIM card installed. When you log into your Fi acct via the Fi app to activate the S25, it will say that your current service is on another phone and asks for the OK to transfer that service to the S25. Give it the OK and service/phone number will be transferred to the S25's SIM. Your current SIM will be deactivated. Do NOT swap any SIM cards.

That's what I did last year. Not sure about downgrading my storage now though :/. So I'm on the fence for a couple days.
I currently have the 512GB S24U. I am using 90 of the 512......so I don't feel "downgrading" to 256GB is all that worrisome.

Same here. Size doesn't matter, it's how you use it Smilie! These days, most of my data is in the cloud or on my NAS.

I'm using only 70 GB of the 256GB in my S24. I store a lot of pictures, call logs, texts, apps on my phone. None in the clouds.

I'm using 455 out of 512GB. All the photos are backed up in Amazon photos in full resolution but the 250gb of 4k videos are backed up only in 1080p resolution in Google photos. I can of course back them up but went for 512GB this time. I'm hoping Samsung brings back double storage promo everywhere next year after presumably S25 sales will be bad due to lack of substantial upgrades.

I'm an existing Fi user who has repeatedly paused service over the last year. If I want to activate service on the s25 ultra via esim and get assigned a new number, is there any problem with that ?

I'd resume service first in other phone, order the phone and then git it transferred to the new phone.

S25 Plus or Ultra? Camera is better on the Ultra, but have no need for the stylus...

And then the decision of OnePlus 13 vs S25 Plus/Ultra since I just bought the OnePlus 13 and still within return period... decisions.

Camera is far superior so if that is important to you go for the ultra, OP13 anyway compares more to ultra than plus

Yeah , when you get the new phone it comes with a psim. Activate that sim and dont use that sim in any other phone for 120 days and dont use any other Google Fi sim in the s25. If you want to use eSim I think GadgetNerd posted instructions a page back or two. There were two threads, not sure if mods merged them .

Been an unlimited plus subscriber for an entire year. I don't get this offer in the Fi store. Lengthy chat with Customer Service couldnt resolve it. They escalated to a senior manager and will email me in 24 hrs.
