I would not do this because now they are separating the promotional credit from the trade in credit. You could be stuck with that $700 promotional credit over 36 months. Better to wait for in store for instant credit. You can buy at walmart a Straight Talk Moto G4 24 for trade in for $30 https://www.walmart.com/ip/seort/5243895448

Does Spectrum still refund the credits if the device is paid in full? Or do they only apply as monthly billing credit?

You could pay outright

What do you mean instant credit? How does it really work in the store? Thanks!

Planning to trade in S24+ for S25+ in store.

How does the credit work this time? Is it 700 trade-in credit spread over 36 months ?

It should be eligible, is your phone blacklisted or still not paid off to another carrier? I've put in randomly generated IMEIs for different devices to check trade in value and they've never shown me that message.
Ah, I used a different browser with incognito mode fixed it. Yeah I just entered some random IMEI starting with 3.

In store is a ctually frighteningly straightforward. I say frighteningly because they try to make it basically frictionless but you're not even reviewing any papers. You tell em you want Spectrum mobile line and have trade in, you give ID, they look up account, they sign you up and you MUST insist on no financing and lowest by the gig plan, and they inspect your phone and give you new one. If you have CC on file they'll charge it. You get receipts in email immediately

If you're trading it in in store, it'll immediately deduct the value of the trade in from what you owe. I do remember paying activation fee last year

It's similar to Best Buy trade in process actually. All email based, very straightforward

This is how spectrum positioned it over the last few years. The credit is spread over 36 months, however multiple users (me included) were able to call/chat with spectrum after 30 days and successfully received the full remainder credit back onto the credit card used for purchase.
you are lucky, I wish I could do the same. Otherwise, I have no interest to transfer to them from my current atnt.

You can pick instant credit (pay in full) or 36 months. If u don't pick then they will pick for u.

I did this deal last year for the s24+, activated a line then unlocked the phone after a few months and moved the phone over to tmobile and disconnected the line. However now when I'm looking on my account it still has the old line, although it says account disconnected. When I try and go through the process to do this trade in, can you not use the old line? It keeps asking me for the name on the line and when I use my name it won't allow me to go further cause it says I already have a line in that name. Do I have to open a second line and the when all is said and done have 2 disconnected lines on my account? It does say I have a free line for 12 months tho so I guess

Do I have to unlock the phones from my previous carrier or not required? I'm planning to get the moto tracofone deal from QVC and trade-in those phones. The only catch is that the phones will be locked to tracofone for 60 days. I don't want to risk waiting 60 days as the value of the trade in might go down. Any thoughts?

Have you tried flashing a different firmware from xda?
I would love to try it if it's an easy process. Totally clueless and afraid to brick the phones.
