Is there any way to purchase multiple S25s and trade-in multiple phones using just 1 line? (activate a line, buy S25, pay in full, trade-in, then buy another S25 using the same line through "upgrade an existing line", all on the same day in-store)
Has anyone done multiple trade-ins with only 1 line in the past?

Yes

But not one s25 for another. Do one s25 for an s25+ and so on

It did work last year for s24 and you make small profit each time in credit

Another option, now that you mention it, is to do what you suggested but not use the existing s25

I hadn't considered it but it's smart. I have pixel 9 already on a free Spectrum line for instance

I'll go in and trade g play for s25 and upgrade line using that. Won't touch my Pixel 9

Then can upgrade that line again using another g play and leave s25 intact

I see no problems with above and the online system allows it. Upgrade doesn't require you to literally trade in that very device. Just any device in their system accepted for trade in

Thanks for the idea lol

Fantastic. We'll see if the store rep lets me. If the online system allows it, that's a good indication.

Another thing I thought of: after doing trade in, you'll have s25 showing on your line as your phone that's ready to "upgrade"

I intend to switch the esim back to my Pixel 9 online ASAP. Once that's done, it'll look like Pixel 9 is the line I'm looking to "upgrade" again if I go in for another round

It plays nicely with their online system and should raise fewer red flags with the actual associate. But I also wonder if it may be riskier because you're rapidly upgrading so many times using same line. I haven't done more than on upgrade in succession like that before (s24 to s24 plus)

I plan to keep my unlocked Pixel 9 as my phone on the free Spectrum line I've got for next 10 months if that's not clear

There's also the question of if they'll be unlocked after two months if you try this since they won't be active for full two months on a spectrum line. I don't have experience there

Some DPs point to just needing to activate on line, sock drawer for two months, then put esim back to the phone and message for device unlock as a working method

Good point about switching the eSIM online. I will bring my Pixel with me to do the same in-store. Is the eSIM switching online easy and instantaneous?

https://www.spectrum.com/policies...e-in-terms says "You are permitted to sell one Device per active line at the time You activate a new line of service or upgrade an existing line". If the rep gives any pushback, I am hoping I can argue this qualifies as "upgrade an existing line" and I don't see any verbiage telling us we can't do this.

For the network unlock in 60 days, I intend to use the 1 free Spectrum line for at least 60 days * x if the above shortcut doesn't work, where x is the number of phones I buy.

In any case, if the rep still refuses, I'll just open separate lines and eat the plan and activation costs.

Does anyone know Chase Ink codes this as 5% cash back or 1%?

5%. I've done several prior deals. you can use a debit card for the credit refund after the trade in is completed for some free money.

So i just ordered four of the QVC moto play 2023 that qualify for 710 or whatever. I already have a free line im using from spectrum, as well as four verizon lines. The spectrum line and my main verizon line are both on the same iphone 16 pro max. SO essentially I can just upgrade the free spectrum line i have to the new samsung s25 I am trading for and wont have to add any monthly bill for the first one?

I see they have a 20 dollar plan to besides the 30 unlimited, is that gonna be fine to use for the other three s25s that i get?

Lastly do i have to wait for these QVC moto to arrive so i can type in the IMEI from them, or does it not matter like other carriers and you can change it later anyways? Also does it matter whether i upgrade the free spectrum line i already have with one of the new devices or if i just switch out the devices later after i get the s25? thanks

80 dollars for 4 motos traded for 4 s25s for $90 a piece plus tax and two months of service? Talk about some easy flips

What you two are describing is exactly what I've done multiple times last year with the S24. Use the same line to upgrade with beater android phones in succession and just swap the eSIM back to my original phone on that line. Wait 60 days for each upgraded phone to unlock.

You can only do so many upgrade trade ins in store before they block you so you'll end up having to do online trade in eventually. When doing the online method, you'll want to wait until they approve and pay out the trade in credit before upgrading that line again. This can take a week or more of waiting for their warehouse to approve the trade. Someone on here was risky enough to upgrade again before the prior trade in credit hit their account but they still ended up getting the trade promo credit for the prior upgrades. so we basically have 4 weeks from launch to promo end date to keep recycling the upgrade promo.

Of course this is all assuming they continue to pay out the trade in promo lump sum instead of this 36 months bs.

I'm reading all that you guys said and thats crazy to me that thats possible to do, I assumed the store rep or the account in general wouldnt allow repeated upgrades especially one after the other on the same day.

It should work, but to unlock you must keep each phone active with service for at least 60 days.

Nope you just need to activate the phone then you can swap the SIM into another phone. After 60 days swap the SIM back into the phone you want to unlock and they should be able to unlock for you. You don't need 60 days of continuous service on the same device to unlock

Do you happen to know if spectrum refunds a portion of the tax price once trade in is done?
