According to their current T&C:
Credit means the Offer or Adjusted Offer amount for the Device value to be paid to Spectrum Mobile on Your behalf once We accept Your Device under the Trade-In Program. The Credit shall include any promotional benefit paid by Spectrum Mobile. Should You finance Your new device, Spectrum Mobile will apply Your Credit evenly over Your remaining payment plan installments. Should You pay for Your new device in full, Spectrum Mobile will apply Your Credit to Your account within the next two billing cycles.
My read of it is same. But I'll confirm in store when doing trade in. A single data point will suffice, and there'll be plenty here I'm sure
If you click view terms on s25 page under trade in, you get this:
Trade-in offer requires customers to trade in qualifying device, purchase and activate a new device. Trade-in device must have a value greater than $0. If the value of the trade-in device credit exceeds the cost of the new device, credit will be reflected on bill statement within 2-3 bill cycles. Promotional credits are reflected over 36 mos on the bill statement. Cancellation of mobile line before device is paid off will result in forfeiture of remaining promotional credits. Visit spectrum.com/mobile/trade-in for details.
What's the bit about 36 months there? It'd appear line before it contradicts it. I'm guessing they're referring to financed vs bought distinction that are in the full terms you posted
My Pixel 9 would *exceed* cost of trade in so especially relevant

I mean, it is advertised. It says it pretty clearly. And that's exact the way it's worked before. Most people aren't buying and paying in full anyway except in this deal and SD types. Most do finance
865 cost of device/36 installments
865 trade in credit/36 installments
20 mobile plan x 36
if you unlock after 2month, I assume promo voids and you still end up paying 34 months?
my s24 ultra is the first samsung that had very serious problems. the n10 an before all worked fine. The s24 for the first year would not charge if you let the battery die for a lot of people. Seems fixed a year later? or im getting lucky the last 2 weeks when i accidentally let it die again. Also connection issues with (possible spectrum/verizon) samsung s24 in several reports. Map shows im covered, im in a very large known city, but ive got 2-3 bars Also phone service. People message me an ive gotten errors an vise versa. half the time it didnt let me know it didnt send when it didnt send. i had to open it to see later. an i only message one person a couple times a month.seems to be different issues with samsung from different providers so people are having a harder time getting companies to admit they are at fault due to less people per failure incident. a couple other things I think, but still better than motorolla or most brands that arent LG or TCL except the dying an unable to charge for hours sometimes,, was/is almost like a bricked device.
their internet which comes with their phone deals. yeah buddy, but i think im forced to spectrum cause that may be all thats here. im definantly forced to keep it now that i got a phone with them. their router? make sure not to use that. you also have to pay to use it monthly, i know most people in 2024 have their own routers, but i currently dont have any my old gear. make sure to tell them that you have your own too or youll be paying till you do. they dont tell you that when signing up.

Where exactly do you see this? I couldn't see it.
nope, some people get lucky and get them delivered early... check out reddit and samsung forums. happens with all launch releases, including s24, fold6, etc..
long anwser : yes, activate s25 first, then swap back to old phone. wait 61 days, swap back to s25. then call for unlock.
