Adding a data point. Annoying manager kept on making a fuss that you can get trade in credits only on 36 months, not if you pay off. So for a line the rep did it 36 months despite me knowing it's not.

When I got home, it was converted to pay up front and in full. The full device amount charged to the card and then I saw the bill credits for the same amount on the statement. So gotta wait until statement end of this month to get it back refunded.

For anyone curious, in CA doing a double trade in (trading in a new S25 for a base S24 Ultra) it would be about $475 out of pocket. Not bad for flagship new phone.
