The phone without a SIM card is already on its way. Has anyone experienced this before? What are the chances it will pass inspection and be approved for trade-in?

Why reset it? I just set it up and took SIM out and it was hunky dory at the store. I assume same if I'd shipped it in
I'd stick the SIM in another phone so it looks in their system like you have another phone you're using atm, and go in and do the same trade in process
No need for another line. I'm tempted to do the same myself with the unlocked Pixel 9 I have. Have the S25 from this deal and another crappy phone to trade in. Will stick SIM from the S25 I'm now using in to the Pixel 9 again, go in and trade in the crappy phone and upgrade from my Pixel 9. Pull SIM back to my now daily driver s25 after
In 60 days, stick SIM back into the other s25 and get it unlocked

Learn to be more considerate about deals and at least trying to have some decorum about them
It's not about if you can do it. It's whether you should
And no, it shouldn't allow for it right away. Is not the intention and you know it
Desibabu last year had one on s24 post. Basically same instructions this year
My Pixel 9 had only esim and they happily gave me physical SIM
But even if it is esim, it's no problem at all sticking esim in to phone at unlock time or when wanting to upgrade like I described. Just use Myspectrum app
I actually never ended up using the physical sim. Just went with esim still lol
