Make sure the sim or esim is in the phone for unlocking.
After unlocked, you can call or chat again to cancel the service.

When it is time to unlock, I had it done easily for 2 phones on free line (that still open) but could not have the phones that were on cancelled paid line to be unlocked. Anyone had same experience?
Otherwise, I guess you do need to keep the lines active for 60 days to unlock.
Thanks so much for the reply! I got the S25 today and went to the same store to get the s25+ and they said I can get a trade in value of around $560 which is weird, will try another store in the evening. Is there a cool off period before upgrading to the s25+?
As a side note, did nothing to the s25 phones other than taking them out of the box. Too small vs old phones or even regular Pixel.

Just to get the process straightened out, is the following what I should do?
- Switch the free line from eSIM to pSIM
- Insert free line pSIM into S25 #1. (60 day countdown for S25 #1 started on purchase date). Make sure the S25 #1 IMEI still shows up under free line on Spectrum portal.
- Insert free line pSIM into S25 #2 a day later. (60 day countdown for S25 #2 started on S25 #2 purchase date? or does it restart as free line pSIM insertion date?). Make sure the S25 #2 IMEI shows up under free line on Spectrum portal.
- Reinsert free line pSIM into S25 #1 and use as normal
- Wait 60 days for S25 #1 unlock. Chat to unlock
- Wait 60 days for S25 #2 unlock on different day. Chat to unlock
Does this sound right? Let me know if there's unnecessary steps or if I can simplify this.Should I be chatting with Spectrum at steps 2 and 3 to make sure they started the 60 day countdown or is that not needed? I'm particularly worried about S25 #2 because the countdown should have started with paid line activation date, but I am moving it to the free line so I have no idea if the system will do the 60 day countdown properly.

You are trading S25 in, online? Did you already get your trade in credit from the S25 base?
