Unsuccessful upgrade from S25 to S25+ today in store. CSR gave me no problems or questions and even brought out and scanned the S25+ but her system wouldn't let her process the payment as a fraud alert. Was she lying??

I only legitimately upgraded 2 lines to get 2 S25s. Nothing else

I went different store after 10 days, after 4 trade ins already done. Fraud check came in, could not proceed further. Doing online now.

I saw in this thread that in order to unlock after 60 days that you chat customer service while the phone is connected to the network and they do the unlock over the air, so that seems to mean it can't be done offline.

This is a long shot, but does anyone know if this can be done while on Spectrum's international roaming pay-per-MB plan? I'm going to be on a trip when the 60 days comes up, and I'd love to be able to just turn off data on my phone but connect to the roaming network and then buy a cheap e-sim abroad as soon as the unlock is available.

The phone needs to be on a Spectrum line to unlock.. I just put the phone on one of the Spectrum line, call in to unlock.

What have you already done in store? I only upgraded 2 lines from moto to s25. They didn't let me upgrade from s25 to s25+ today in store

This is my experience so far.
Feb 7th - traded in s22 for s25 (free line)
Feb 9th - traded in s25 for s25+ (free line)
Feb 13th - traded in 2 moto g play 2024 for two s25 (opened one new line and the other one using free line)
Feb 23 - traded in both s25 for s25+
All of these trade-ins are in store.

No overlap. All were in store but one, so there was no possibility for it. But while my online one was ordered, shipped, and approved I didn't do any others.

So the idiots at the spectrum store managed to sign me up for two phones under the monthly credit rather than pay in full even though i asked and confirmed twice this was the case. If I pay in full online before sending in the trade in phones, would I be able to get the full $705 back or is the only way to reject these two and restart the process?

Last time I talked to a rep over the phone, they told me if you finance the phones you can decide to pay it off early and they can still refund the remaining trade in credit back to you in full. Call the spectrum mobile billing department for help and clarification

Woohoo finally scored one. They have plenty in Alhambra, CA.

Should have been a quick 15-20 minutes but it was 60 minutes.

Didn't have appointment (I just signed in at the front and they called me within 10 minutes). The girl asked me for account verification, driver's license, SSN. I got the S25 black shadow 128GB, she proceeded to process the order and entered the trade in device, a Moto G Play 2024. After a few moments she said my device is not eligible, flipped the screen to me and said only 2021 and 2023 qualify. I had her tried again, same issue, and another time, same issue 2024 was not listed. She said sorry I can try to order online.

Went to my car all disappointed, was about to leave, so I decided to try it online via my phone. Moto G Play 2024 showed up, I'm confused. Went back in and had to signed in again at the front but she saw me and said she'd try again for me after the customer she's helping. This time I told her early, can you please make sure you choose Other as the carrier for the tradein. Boom, Moto G Play 2024 is there. I swore I told her to choose Other the first time. Man, these CSRs don't like to be told what to do. It's a mechanic's or doctor's "I know what I'm doing" arrogance. Anyways got the order processed

800 - 710 tradein + 82 taxes = $172

I'm guessing stores should have more in stock this week. I already went to the Monterey Park one nearby 3 times in the last 2 weeks w/o luck

Don't think I have in it me to do this again. I already have a S24 Ultra 512GB on T-mobile and it's not worth upgrading to a S25 Ultra and habe to go through 2 more tradeins. Will use the S25 as a backup or trade in for a future Apple iPhone for family members
