what if you activate the phone on a 2nd line and cancel that 2nd line, can you still unlock that phone in 60 days?

the promotion ends on March 4th, do we need to finish the trade-in and get the credit by 3/4 or as long as we place online orders before 3/4 is fine?

Interesting, so you know first hand that even if phone is sealed it unlocks in 60 when you pop it on a line to request …. Then there is another benefit to ordering online because all 7 devices i got in store they kind of made me open idk i had to push back against them at other times like when the one lady tried to told me
Because it was locked i couldnt trade it in but i convinced here to do 5 lol
You need to call/chat with Spectrum after 60 days to unlock and the devices need to be on a Spectrum line.. so you still need to open it regardless..

Folks, they flagged my account after opening 6 lines in store. They just cancelled all the lines (apparently I missed a call from the fraud dept). I had to submit a utility bill and ID to to get the lines back.
I also had S25 to S25+ via mail and the S25+ was returned to sender (likely because of the clusterf***) from yesterday) and the S25 to assurant is in limbo.
I'm not going to argue against anyone saying I was too greedy with 6 upgrades, going on more via mail in, but between 2 retail stores and family, I'm using all the lines.

If the line you are expecting Assurant rebate on gets cancelled, I think your trade in credit is toast. I had that happen last year where an order got cancelled but I had already sent in my trade in. They approved the trade but couldn't credit it back to the corresponding line since it was cancelled. Ended up with nothing and couldn't even get the trade in phone back.

Both trade-in were done in store today around noon. Then I got flagged for fraud at 5pm. Spectrum sent an email stating that my mobile account is cancelled, and all esims were disabled. I called them and the call routed directly to fraud protection department. They verified my info, and requested a utility bill for proof of address I sent it via email while the agent was still on the phone. The account was eventually restored. My cable account is a newly opened account, and the numerous trade in might have triggeded it. Who knows? They won't tell me why.

Similar to me. My Spectrum internet account is 2 weeks old. I just moved and signed a new lease this month. If T-mobile's Home Internet wasn't so godawful in my apt, I wouldn't have opened an account.

Maybe. The Spectrum rep said Assurant will send trade-in back on a canceled order, but I don't see that happening, without a lot of hassle.
I did my old iPhones and Pixels, but the one in limbo is an S25. FML 😆

Going by Spectrum S24 deal, looks like March X (range of dates based on comments) is a hard end date, will not be extended. Get your trades submitted in the next couple of days.
