I did 3 Moto 2023 to S25 instore trade in on 3 lines.
Then "upgrade anytime" from s25 to S25 ultra instore successfully.
I tried to do another s25 to S25 ultra in store and was blocked. Message was to upgrade online.
Would it work instore if I add new line to upgrade s25 to ultra rather than "upgrade anytime"? I'm trying to avoid the mail-in tradein gamble.

I got two S25 phones. One for the free line and a second one after adding a line. can I cancel the second line and use the free line to unlock the phone? I remember seeing this in comments and I don't mind waiting and extra 2 months to unlock. Anything I need to worry about when cancelling a line?

Here's a new one. I just placed an online order upgrading a couple Moto plays to s25 on my two lines. Got an email from order support saying my order was cancelled due to credit concerns. Nothing specific was mentioned but email said you can call this number to get the specifics.

for context, I have done several online trades on these lines the last few weeks already.

You got a special phone number to call or just the regular generic spectrum number?

It's the fraud protection team.

It's probably tomorrow. Yesterday I spoke with two different reps in store and they were not exactly sure though.

At the bottom of https://www.spectrum.com/mobile/trade-in, it shows:

But I have the feeling it will be extended with lower trade-in credit.

My experience:
Last week I traded in iPhone X for S25 and paid about $30 or so, on Spectrum one year free line
Today went to upgrade for a S25+, associate told me I would have to pay about $230-ish and restock fee of $50
Asked if I could do another trade-in of S25 instead, says the system identified first transaction already and another is not permitted, will have to pay difference.

Heads-up: for some of those who are doing it online, you may see this happening to you.
I know it's YMMV, but you never know until it is processed.

I am happy that I did not waste so much time running around stores. 2 lines upgraded to S25, then one to S25+ and other to S25 Ultra. UPS and Assurant are super quick.

What's the number of orders that may trigger fraud protection, for each line? I already did 3 on one line, wonder if I should do the 4th tomorrow, on the same line.

Have you called?
I got an email asking to verify through uploading my driver's license and another email with some security questions. Though I followed instructions and verified, I still received the cancellation email later.

Every online order I placed requires uploading driver license, maybe because my mobile account is new (started 2/7), all orders are approved after uploading document.

1. online order to start free line, moto power to s25, required uploading doc
2. online upgrade s25 to s25 +, required uploading doc
3, instore s22 to s25
4. tried to do at store, but store only gave me option to ship the phone, so I went home and placed online order myself, s25 to s25, required uploading doc
