How did you cancel lines? Call agent or port out,?
So word coming from spectrum workers and some threads on reddit is that the using one line to cycle the devices to unlock them all is a no go Now. if you look at spectrums terms it specifically addresses this in the terms of service they require devices being switched between lines to be unlocked:

"If Subscriber wishes to use their Device with the service of another mobile operator or Subscriber wishes to exchange their Mobile Service between two Spectrum-supported Devices, upon request, Spectrum will provide reasonable assistance to unlock the Device or to exchange their Mobile Service between the two Spectrum-supported Devices, provided that Subscriber meets certain criteria, including but not limited to: (a) Subscriber has paid for each Device in full; (b) the device has been active for more than sixty (60) days; (c) the Subscriber's account is in good standing (i.e., it has no past due amount or unpaid balance owed to Spectrum); and (d) none of the Devices have been reported lost or stolen.

I cant tell if the terms are actually saying that this is forbidden because the A criteria clearly says EACH device, but the B criteria that matters in this case refers to "the device" and not each device.

Please read your point (a). If your device is in full it needs to be unlocked.

Im not sure what you mean, it says that if we want to take the device to another carrier OR if we want to transfer a spectrum line from one spectrum supported device to another one ( which is what we have to do in order to unlock multiple devices with one line only) then all of the following criteria need to be met
A.) Each device is paid off (checkmark)
B.) The device has been active for more then 60 days ???
C.) The account must be in good standing. (checkmark)
D.) None of the devices have been reported lost or stolen (checkmark)

I am questioning the fact that we will have criteria B satisfied. It depends which device they are referring to, the device that just got unlocked and we are trying to move of the line or the device that we are trying to move onto the line in order to get it to unlock. Obviously if its the device that we are trying to move onto the line then we have not satisfied the criteria for B because the whole reason we are trying to move the device onto the line is to get it to 60 days, correct?

Or am i just thinking about it incorrectly? Does it not matter because we are supposed to wait until 60 days from activation for the device we are trying to switch on the line to get unlocked.

Edit: Just trying to get a grasp on this before i cancel 7 of my 8 lines lol. Also what is the best way to cancel the lines, port out number or just cancel one or two at a time and call in. Thanks

Now that this promotion is over, is there anything cool to do with these phones? Any good trade ins elsewhere? I was working towards the ultra but this deal ended with me holding two s25+s.

When I look at best buy, apple, oneplus, etc. you can't select s25 to trade in, only s24.

My trade in was accepted on 3/3 as well but I couldn't see the credit in my account. Where do I see it? I navigated to billing and mobile , nothing comes up.
It will show up as a negative balance on your monthly bill when it becomes available. I did two successful online trade ins and both credits were available the next day after I received the emails showing the trade ins were received and approved.

It is easy to get unlocked as long as the device is 100% paid off. it is a safety feature of Verizone that is in place. So they cannot provide you with the unlock.

good call, i only spoke to them over chat as well earlier so its hard to explain the situation when its as convoluted as it was. Im gonna try to call in before. I still need to figure out the best way to do this tho, because i have 8 lines and ideally i wanna cancel 7 and then just be able to cycle them all to one line when they each hit 60 days.
I'm having a similar issue, I already had an s25+ on a line but went through another trade in process, moto g> s25> s25+. I didn't bother activating the s25 before sending it in so it's still showing up as activation in progress. When I try to install esim it says "esim not ready", chat was getting ready to activate it but I asked if it would reset the 60 day unlock policy for the 1st s25+ and she said it would.

I've noticed two different methods of reactivating phones onto active lines. 1. Use the self-service tool online labeled "Switch devices" and plug in IMEI and it'll send a new eSIM to your new device. This does not reset the activation clock and you can unlock based on initial activation date. 2. If the above doesn't work or the system glitches, you'll need customer service help to activate the device on the line. They will do a BYOD upgrade of the line with the new device IMEI you provided and you'll receive a new order email that basically upgraded the line with a BYOD device. This will reset the activation clock. DO NOT ever do the second method. If the first method fails, go to a store and get a physical SIM and then you can just swap the pSIM into whatever phone you want without requiring a new BYOD activation order.
Wondering if you had any advice for my situation, I had a $20 line that I had already upgraded moto g> s25> s25+. I upgraded that same line for a 2nd time with the exact same process but I never bothered activating the s25 before sending it in. My new s25 plus arrived and it's not on the activation board, only the s25 that I already sent in. When I try to activate it manually it says "your esim is not ready", to top it all off the line is no longer showing the first s25+ on there so I can't "switch devices".

I do have a free line that has another s25+ on there with the option to "switch devices", I am thinking of going through that route but if you have had success with the physical sim I think it might be a better choice so that I can also put it back into the 1st s25+ that was activated on that line.

I have a $20 line that I had already upgraded to an s25+ once and ended up doing it a 2nd time on the same line. This time I did not activate the s25 before dropping it off at UPS to trade in. Recieved my 2nd s25 plus but I am unable to activate it, shows "your esim isn't ready yet". On myspectrum app/online it's only showing the s25 that I sent as a trade in as ready to activate instead of the s25+. The line I upgraded is also not showing my old s25+ either so I can't switch devices using the app/online service. I do have a free line with another s25+ that is available to switch to a different device but I want to make sure it will not reset the 60 day unlock policy.

Yes, I had the same issue with pixel 8 pro from Spectrum. Even after unlocking, esim didn't work for Verizon.
for anybody else that might find this thread, I had no problems unlocking my pixel 9 pro xl and using it on T-mobile

yes... get current phone unlocked if needed, then switch phone back to locked phone and ask csr to unlock it... never had an issue doing this... ive done manyyyyyyy
Were you using the app/website to "switch devices" yourself? I upgraded a line a 2nd time to an s25 plus but it's not showing up on my activation board and when I try to do it manually it says "esim not ready". I was going to have customer service do it but I read another comment that they may try to add it as a BYOD and it would restart the 60 days on the previous s25 plus that was connected to the line.

You can use the numbers to verify Google voice numbers. Also to self refer for Doordash etc.

The phones, once unlocked, can be resold easily. Even if not unlocked, Best Buy should take them shortly

Another option is to trade them in for yet another phone should Spectrum come along with a really good offer. Could net you some cash even

I got credit for $122. After getting refunded to my cc. My bill for next month went up by $122. I got one more refund for another trade in, and my bill went up again. Ik it is a glitch. Is there way to fix this. My estimate bill for april is $235 instead of $91.Thanks in advance.
