People need to stop saying this works like last year. If its verified it works this year, then good. But it seems Spectrum has changed their policy and its NOT working this year till someone verifies it. Don't make people spend money they may not get back without verifying it.

I have an S24 for trade and just checked the Samsung site. For me here's what I get;
Samsung: $600 trade-in credit + storage upgrade 120 + EDU 35 = $755 credit, price is $665
Spectrum: $950 Trade in credit = 1300 - 950: $350 price
So the Spectrum deal is still better for me it seems like, even with less storage, not paying an extra 300 bucks for 256 gigs extra

i don't feel comfortable mailing in the trade in. in the past, did Spectrum local store carry S24 Ultra? i know they usually only carry the base model.....

Got this from the billing department through chat.

Me: I want to trade in my Samsung S24 for an S25 Ultra. It looks like my trade in value is $950. My question is if I pay in full for the S25 Ultra, will the $950 be credited to my credit card? And will it have any effect on my monthly price? Also, am I still locked in to 36 months?
Billing: I am happy to share that you can use your current device as a trade in if it is paid in full. Once the new device is purchased if on financing the promotional credit and trade in would be applied monthly and your locked in for 36 months to ensure you get the promotional credit. If you pay the device off in full you would be charged the retail balance at the time of the order and refunded the trade in and promotional credit in full once your trade in device is shipped back. Thank you so much!
Me: Ok thanks, and no issues putting the credit on my credit card? Not locked in for 36 months?
Billing: Great question! This would be applied as a credit to the account and then you can request to have this refunded to the card on file. The device must be on the account for 60 days before we can unlock it. Thank you so much!

It depends what type of phone you're trading in, I have an S24 and here's how it breaks out for me. Spectrum is better.
Samsung: $600 trade-in credit + storage upgrade 120 + EDU 35 = $755 credit, price is $665
Spectrum: $250 trade-in credit + Spectrum Promo $700 = $950 credit, price is $350 (with 256 less GB)

But don't you have to mail in your trade in to the 3rd party Spectrum partner first? I didn't think the local store accepts your trade and instantly provides the credit?

this was fantastic. i have a samsung a52 5g that was a fun side piece android device. i almost turned it in for a amazon $25 recycle fee essentially credit because no one was offering anything with it losing all support in march 2025. this gave me $705 credit, so for less than $200 i get a new phone with double memory, and longer support. plus i get a free year of phone service if i choose to keep that long. good times.

Less than $200 - how are you getting it for such a low price? I'm trading in a phone worth $800 and that leaves about $500 + tax remaining.

sorry i guess i should've specified which phone i chose. i got the s25 256gb. it was $705 towards ultra, which was initially linked. then i thought, what about regular s25 and it was still same. so i went that route.

sorry about that. let me know if any other questions. it was broken down as 700$ + +5$=$705.
