This deal is for HP batteries while the FP deal you're referring to are not HP batteries. Different amperage output. These HP batteries are most useful in high power output tools, like large circular saws. The tools that can utilize the HP batteries' extra output will have two additional electrical contacts compared to the regular batteries.

If you're just powering things like inflators and lights, the regular batteries will be fine. Get the HP batteries for higher power draw tools

edit: to clarify, all Ryobi One+ 18V tools can use all Ryobi One+ 18V batteries (regardless of the tool and/or battery being HP or not)

is $10 really a good price for Ryobi? I only have the inflator for this line with a 4ah and shocked how long that battery last for. With that said, the combo deal on FP, you can get a 2ah, 4ah, and charger for $40 after hack.

6 Ah battery would be overkill for a tire inflator. 2 and 4 Ah batteries are a better balance of weight/battery life for an inflator.

6 Ah are good for energy hungry tools.

Ah thanks. Did not know there was a difference in battery lines. Now I need to see what my 4ah is that I have. Yeah I know the bigger battery is good to for those power hungry tools which is definitely a pro.

If you miss out on this YMMV keep your eye out for one of the good DTO sale events. This last summer they had the 6ah HPs on sale for around $45/each as "refurbs". The ones at my store were current year serials with not a scratch on them. The 4ah HPs during same sale were around $30.
