Woot has the tv light strip on discount if you're in the market. Expensive, but I love this thing.
You need a Hue bridge for it to work and also the sync box unless you have a newer, high-end, Samsung. Yes, yes, many hoops to jump through just for flashing lights.

If you have a Lowe's near you...in store

They have many led light strips ...8 feet plus long...and some have smart/connected capability
They are mostly designed for under cabinet lighting, but I see no reason they could not be used for this

They start as low at $4.99 on clearance
I bought two of them last week

these look awesome and work great when watching TV but you need the hue sync box to take advantage of it matching the colors on the TV.
