Yes. Although not a complete faraday cage because of air gaps and such, it will drastically reduce signal.

The view on this one is not as wide as the regular indoor type. There's also a motion tracking function for this one.

The angle isn't as wide as their other rotating camera but can't beat the value for the price tho. And good thing about eufy you can continuously record to a local sd card and view on app. No need to pay a bs subscription

My eufy cameras have pretty much destroyed my SD cards without fail. I have 5 eufy cameras - all 5 have corrupted at least one SD cardā€¦ I mostly just record to NAS now

How do you record to NAS, wired or wireless on local network? Which NAS brand do you recommend for this purpose, if any, or do you recommend raspberry pi NAS setup?

I just had the first one do that. It was the newest little round outdoor one. I had been using the regular indoor ones outdoors for years without issue, until I messed one up while hanging Christmas lights. None of those have ever had issues and lived through 122 degree summer heat here.

You have to realize they record 24x7. They make sd cards more designed for that purpose. Sometimes mine has issues, but if I reformat it and put it back in, it's okay.

Another tip is if you pay for extra iCloud storage and connect to HomeKit, it will record for free on iCloud servers when there is motion in the area and doesn't take up storage space on iCloud.

I have the eufy Indoor Cam Mini, which I think is the exact same camera as this, and I use it with the homebase 3

the 2K gets downgraded to 1080 if you don't have an SD card inserted

with the SD card inserted, I get 24/7 recording, without, I get events only

I've used this cam for one year and a eufy 2k pan and tilt for three years consistently recording to sd card have not had a single card fail on me yet, also I don't put any expensive high speed card in them either.
