Great price for an Arc but understand, this is not the new Arc Ultra. Still a great soundbar though!

But the software is utter garbage and lacks the most basic functionality.

my comments aren't super relevant to the sound bar because you don't really need the software to run the sound bar.

I don't think a lot of people know about the software issues that Sonos has been having since the major redesign this past year. It has gotten so bad the CEO "stepped down" (aka he was fired) very recently. There seems to be a lot of downvoting for people even mentioning this but it is clearly reality to the point the head of the company had to leave and many issues still persist.

Thank you for your feedback. I have an unopened Arc that is pending installation. Was debating whether to sell it and buy the ultra. I will keep and install it.

I bought this with the Sonos sub and a Samsung Q990C. Kept the Q990C, sounded as good overall and better for movies imo, and less than half the price vs the Sonos setup. Add rears for the Sonos and then nearly triple, which I planned on. No way I could justify just for the name and maybe 5% better music quality.

The wall mount is no longer in stock, so that’s a bummer. But you do get the $60 apple code in few weeks once you opt for it through the process mentioned in the box.

You are absolutely correct on someone here is downvoting people that inform others about the situation sonos is in. I got downvoted in the costco thread after letting everyone know when I go to costco every week thru the holiday shopping season the arc was almost always in stock even though it was discounted thru the holidays. Poor holiday sales is probably the last straw for the CEO.

Just don't drag your feet like I did. The redemption site required that I redeem within 90 days of purchase, regardless of the expiration date printed on the insert.

I went Bose soundbar over the arc, similar price….better look/sound IMO…. No software drama. The last generation 900 is frequently at this price, and is identical to the current model without “AI” crap. You can also use a 3rd party subwoofer opening possibilities beyond the Bose offering… Best of all airplay works just as good for multi room setup as the Sonos….so I still can use my Sonos era’s in other rooms for a full home audio solution along with my Denon HT and Bose soundbar. All sync perfectly and can be run from an old ipad / apple TV if you dont like iphones. Not locked into the Sonos software fiasco….
I suspect Sonos knew the future of multi room was airplay and bluetooth 5.3 (multi channel)…..so took drastic steps with their software which ultimately failed.

Even after over a year, Sonos frequently drops speakers or can't even find my system. It was rock solid for S1, S2 was a little flaky, and the new app is hot garbage. I read somewhere that they overhauled the app to put everything in the cloud so they could eventually monetize "features"

I don’t know if they’ll go under per se, but they’ve got a ton of work to regain trust and actually redo their entire app. I have no idea why people stating this are getting downvoted. I guess they don’t want to believe it? Look, their entire ecosystem is dependent on software and specifically an app. If that link the chain fails, then what do you have?
