The Gel-Nimbus 26 is finally back on sale! I've been waiting since LAST January for a good sale on these, and I saw an ad for the 27 last night, which meant the old models are on sale again! This price is from 3rd party sellers. If you prefer to buy direct from Asics, they're $119.99, both on Amazon and on Asics site.

How do people feel about these vs nimbus 25s? I love the 25s and overbought them when I could get them for 100-110
I have both 25 and 26. 26 looks and feels more refined/less clunky. 26 hands down winner imo and one of my favorite pairs of shoes I've ever owned. Though I will say I've owned multiple pairs of each Nimbus from 23-26, and "getting a good copy" is a real issue, ie different color of same model can come from a different factory. I had 3 pairs of 24's and none were identical in feel.

I heard Nimbus 26 gets hot. Is it true in your experience esp non-winters?
I admit it's probably that I'm entering an older stage in my life, but unless they are a pair of boots, I'm finding myself not wanting to break the $100 barrier for sneakers, especially with sales that happen.A nice pair of shoes or boots, over $100 is acceptable. $100+ sneakers though....these seem to be for cruising the supermarkets and Costco in my area, which is mostly where I see them.I do own a pair of blue/peach Nimbus 25's lol.I'm prepared for the shunning.
If you are just walking/standing these may be overkill, but for running it's usually worth it breaking the $100 barrier
For wailking I love the Gel-pulse which I can get as low as $50 and for runing I abandoned asics because in the last 3 or 4 years they redesigned the towbox and they fit "weird" on my feet. I never tried the nimbus tho, so I'm considering this offer
I picked these up several months ago at this price, thank the Lord they have wide. Great shoe, but why have the color sheetrock, which is what I ended up with. Does anyone ever say, "Boy I sure wish I a had a pair of sheetrock colored shoes."

Nimbus 26 or the Bondi 8 that's on sale?
