Very straightforward install. I have them throughout my house. Laundry room, closets, garage, they all work great.

Rapidly acquiring a collection of these and very impressed. Have done my closet and garage and real happy with them. May buy a couple without even knowing what my next install is. Bathroom, probably.

I just recently replaced one with an equivalent Legrand switch. Why? Because about 10% of the time, over the course of a year, it would just flash the lights instead of turning them on. It is supposed to do that at the very beginning of installation to learn the ambient light level and then stop but mine never did. It would even flash in complete darkness. It was either defective or buggy and I lean towards the latter. Now, the Legrand I used as a replacement is much less sophisticated as it has no ramp on, isn't programmable, and even makes a pronounced click every time it turns on (instead of silent like the Lutron), but it turns on EVERY single time. YMMV

Oh and if anyone is wondering, the kitchen is a fantastic place to use this as you often have your hands full (with groceries) when you walk in there and you often have hands full (with prepared food) when you are leaving.

I'm a big fan of these switches – I've installed them in all my closets, the laundry room, staircases, hallways, and even the garage. They're professional-grade, designed for commercial use, and the sensor performs much better and faster than any of the "smart" motion-sensor switches I've tried. Plus, they have a higher current rating (the 3-way models, not this specific one). Some of mine have been in use for over a decade. I like them so much that I took them with me when I moved, and they're still working flawlessly in my new home.

I have a TP-Link Kasa version of this switch installed in my garage. Whenever I work in the garage, the light keeps turning off because my SUV blocks the motion sensor. To avoid being left in the dark, I have to switch on the garage opener light.

Program the timeout for 30 minutes. Or add an additional satellite motion sensor and set up a routine to have the satellite motion sensor trigger the light switch.
