Unless you have USB-C 3.2 Gen 2×2 Interface, which basically no one has, the x9 pro will be the same speed

4TB X10 Pro is $220 at Microcenter. https://www.microcenter.com/produ...tate-drive

You can get a PM at BB using the live chat.

$55 per TB (for the 4TB) is a lot better than $73 per TB for a (for the 2TB).

Thanks been looking for the X10 pro... Should I return my X9 Pro? Are the speeds that bad?

Who knows, lots of negative curmudgeons here, but NVMe in an enclosure is just a little more cash for 4 times the speed. But I doubt the dolts downvoting even know that.

Who told you that? I did it through the live chat and Ed took care of it. I gave them the link to both the drive at BB and at Microcenter. He came back after a minute or two and said it was eligible.

They have the exact same UPC (649528938411) in both the BB and the Microcenter listings. I'd try the live chat again if they wouldn't the first time.

Thank you for the information... Seemed odd to me at the time when I heard it...

thank you guys, I went back and an agent, Ann set me up with the price match.

4 times the speed of what? The only 4X I know of is usb4 over usb3.2 gen1 (40gbs vs 10gbs).

This particular drive(x10 pro) can do max 20gbs if connected to usb3.2 gen 2 (but not thinderbolt 4, so Mac people are limited to 10gbs) . The drive seems to generally have a hard time with MacOs due to filesystem issues. That is the source of most 1-star reviews online.

I enjoy my 2tb X9 pro i bought over 1 year ago for $87. Of course this one here is supposed be twice as fast but they are similar.Well built and compact square shape. Those shitty orinco/nvme enclosures kept disconnecting from usb when i tried them...and the X9 doesnt do that.

Maybe they meant 20gbps vs 5gbs somehow thinking this is a SATA SSD with a 5gbps interface, but the comment makes no sense in reference to the X10 Pro which is 20gbps.

I couldn't find a 20gbps NVMe enclosure + a reputable TLC drive for $220. The cheapest 20gpbs NVMe enclosures I can find on AliExpress are just under $20. That leaves you ~$200 for a 4TB TLC drive. I don't see one on PCpartpicker for $200. shake head

This is news to me. Do you have a different recommendation for a 4TB ssd (for Mac)?
