I went to the store to check this laptop today. I think the hinges are too lose on this model. Even small vibrations make the display change change its position.

Is it possible that the display models are generally manhandled by folks and may not correctly portray the actual build quality ?

Why wouldn't it portray actual build quality? Wouldn't being on display to be treated by customers all day be the ultimate durability test? I think that if it gets to that point within a couple weeks of being on display, then I can see the laptop being like that when I have used it and abused it for a year. But I do agree that this is probably a very exaggerated durability test.

hate this 45% NTSC crap screen. Otherwise specs are good.
