Most units like this, including the Dyson, will not let you turn the heat function on via an app due to US UL1278 compliance regardless of whether they have wifi or not.
I have 3 of 1000sq ft ones i got for the same price. They don't blast heat like some heaters i've had, but they will get the room toasty. My issue with them is the potential incorrect thermostat at times. You can say you want the room at 68. It will continue until it thinks the room is at 68. Other tools would tell me it's 73.
Wi-Fi isn't an issue for myself because i dont like the idea of wasting electricity when im not there, and i dont want another iot.

This doesn't have WiFi does it? I need to turn a heater on remotely.
Purchased the white version of this from Costco over a year ago, no WiFi on the unit. The remote control for the unit CAN turn on the heater, however my guess is that doesn't suit your needs but sharing in case it helps one way or the other. Best of luck with your search!
Bought one last time it was on sale and it works well enough. Usually use it for cooking and heating a room of our small apartment. It has that radiator smell when the heat is on and when purifying air when cooking it'll drop to 0% and slowly hike up. Nothing bad, just things of note. I like how compact it is making it easy to store in a corner without drawing too much attention. The remote SUCKs though. It fits nicely on top of the unit but you have to point it directly at it or else it won't work
Bought this unit when it was on sale last year. Worked well. Blows strong and filter is easy to clean. Started making creaking noises when oscillating until it just stopped oscillating last week. I think the bearings or whatever swivel mechanism they use isn't made very well and wears out fast. I'll have to take it apart to see.

I believe this is an energy saving feature, as far as it heating higher than setting. I don't have this model but I have other ones that do the same thing. The idea is that when they heat a few degrees higher they're not kicking back on so often to maintain the set temp.
I have x2 of the Shark 3-in-1 Max Similar to this, but covers 1000 sq ft. I would recommend that over this. You can find it for about the same price sometimes.
I bought this last year and hardly used it. The heater stopped working for some reason.
FWIW Shark is good at providing a replacement if the unit is still under the warranty. I was pleasantly surprised by their service when I had a few issues with mine.

I have one big one and one small one. The big one was $199 at best buy, thats the cheapest I saw it at
I did see our electric bill go up a lot using the heat...thats the only thing that I see as a drawback. It does use a LOT of power . I had to move it elsewhere when it tripped the circuit breaker and the power blew out more than once. It will overload a circuit if you have other things plugged in.
I almost would have returned it but I dont feel like lugging the big one back to the store, and I used reward certificates, so I'll keep it but I probably wouldnt have bothered if I knew it uses so much power. I have until jan 31 to return as per holiday policy
