Seems like a really good surge rating for the price. After looking around, a 3000J surge protector generally is >$30. Looks like this is an older/discontinued model. Almost ordered a few but shipping hurts the deal a bit for me since I have no Menards around. Dang.

I wonder if these yellow like the packard bell it looks like should be plugged into it... That said it's probably a really solid surge protector for the price.

Yeah. Who the hell designed it that way?! You won't be able to use much on this except for electrical cords that go directly straight in top down. No wonder this is 8.99.

Ugh, the closest Menards from where I live is in Casper Wyoming which is about 1149 miles 16h:13m if I leave now. I can save on shipping if I go pick it up in person.

Was about to buy until I saw that. Sure, adaptors can fix it, but that's extra cost, and adds a failure point.

I wouldn't risk it. Might get a defective product & need to drive back to return it?

It turns out to be UL listed, just checked the product data sheet on their own site:

https://assets.tripplite.com/prod.../tr6fm.pdf

It's on the 3rd page of the PDF.

For ten. Which makes them $1.50 a piece, so $9 in the unlikely event you use one on every outlet. I have used these on power strips for years, and they just make life easier, regardless of the design of the power strip.

TrippLites are the best. I purchased a 15 year old used one from Ebay to use with my treadmill which would otherwise trip the breaker.

The way I understood, it suppresses any sparks generated from using treadmill that might make its way back to the outlet.
