I have a cut in the trunk seal, probably due to luggage going in and out. It's a minor cut. Is this a good product to fix that and prevent it from becoming bigger?

It probably would not hold up in the long run. You would most likely be better off just using small strips of a flexible tape like electrical tape or a lightweight duct tape and running a piece perpendicular to the cut on each side of the weatherstrip at the bottom of the cut.
